India’s largest dining out platform Dineout, has acquired Pune-based Torqus, a leading SaaS-based restaurant management software provider, further strengthening its position as a full stack technology service provider in the online restaurant-booking space.
Dineout’s acquisition of Torqus will augment its bouquet of services to the restaurant industry. The company along with inResto, a one-stop CRM platform for recognizing, personalizing and re-engaging diners, will provide an end-to-end tech solution for the restaurant industry as a whole, covering a wide range of use cases.
According to Ankit Mehrotra, co-founder of Dineout, the food industry is thriving with innovations and we are excited to announce the acquisition of Torqus, thus effectively making Dineout a full stack technology service provider to the restaurant industry. While most of the innovations have been taking place in the aggregation and delivery space, Dineout and Torqus combined will enable us to tap into the immense possibilities in the restaurant market.
The platform consisting of Dineout, Dineout Pay, Gourmet Passport, Torqus and inResto will become the largest platform in India offering B2C and B2B services to the restaurant industry, with a combined client base of nearly 10,000 restaurants across 70+ cities in India.
Dineout was acquired by Times Internet Limited, a subsidiary of BCCL, the publisher of this news portal in April 2014.
