Chr. Hansen ranked as the most sustainable company in the world
Sustainability has gained greater focus over the years since the United Nations adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in 2015. The reality of the ever-increasing demand on nature’s own resources requires a major rethink of how we effect changes in energy, transportation, food production and waste management in more sustainable ways. Corporate Knights, a Canadian based sustainable media and investment research firm, initiated the Global 100 in 2005. The Global 100 is an annual ranking of sustainable corporations on a number of quantitative key performance indicators. The results are announced on the side-lines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.In the recent Global 2019 global index of the 100 most sustainable companies, Chr. Hansen topped the list and was ranked as the most sustainable company in the world.
The power of good bacteria

Sustainability – an integral part of the business
Chr. Hansen has been supplying natural ingredients to the food industry since 1874. The understanding and respect for nature’s scarce resources has always been an integral part of the company’s DNA.
