An added attraction will seen this Valentine season. KFC has jointly come up with Mumbai-based tech firm Technobotics to construct a robot that can hold a full sized chicken bucket as a head, a glass of drink and chicken popcorn in its hand. Surprisingly, this robot nicknamed as ‘KFC Bucket Bae’ has inbuilt sensors and the hidden motors-and-wheels leg which allows it to follow you around with your chicken meal.
The sad part is that this robot is not one sale and it is a promotional part of the company’s Valentine’s Day marketing campaign in India. KFC would be displaying this robot at select KFC outlets only within India.
However, if you are really keen and ardent to bring this robot home, then there is a lottery to win. With on’y 5robots at disposal, you have to be one of five lucky people to win it. And to win it, you will have to share your love for it on the company’s Facebook and Instagram site. You can even be lucky enough to spot it on Tinder. As far as rules of winning are concerned, KFC says, “If you impress Bae, well it could be yours.”
Amazingly, this fantastic robot also comes with added features like Bluetooth speaker and can play songs as well. KFC says that its a gender neutral bot and can speak in both male and female voice as required, but only in English. The KFC robot is mostly programmed to talk about KFC’s chicken only. But you can record your own voice on a phone and play it via Bluetooth speakers on the KFC bot.
In the yester year, KFC had come up with drone startup Drona Aviation to launch the KFO drone. The ‘KFO or Kentucky Flying Object’, which came as a unique package for the KFC Smoky Wings and had removable parts that could be re-assembled into a drone. After the converting the box into a drone, with the power on, connecting it to the Smartphone via Bluetooth, it could actually fly.
