PepsiCo India alters snacks ingredients to be at par

PepsiCo India, with aim of ‘Performance with Purpose’, has decided to transform its snacks portfolio. The company has resized its packaging for its snacks brands Lay’s and Kurkure to reduce its carbon footprint particularly.

Indian Magic Masala and Spanish Tomato Tango will now be seen with a better enhanced mix of spices containing 13 per cent to 15 per cent lesser sodium respectively. This is in addition to its recently launched Kurkure Multigrain with Power grain Ragi and 21 per cent reduced sodium.

With development in view, Jagrut Kotecha, VP – Snacks Category, PepsiCo India Ltd. said, “As a responsible snacking company, PepsiCo India has made significant progress in transforming its snacks portfolio. We further aim at reducing sodium in 75 per cent of our food’s portfolio by 2025.”
