Himachal Pradesh eager to invest in food processing plants

Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur recently said that the State Government is planning to provide all possible support to the prospective entrepreneurs to set up food and fruit processing units to provide employment to the youth. This in turn will help to built a strong economy of the farmers to grow vegetables and fruit.

Through video conference from Shimla, Chief Minister was addressing the farmers after inaugurating Cremica Food Park at Singha in Una district. Union Cabinet Minister for Food Processing Harsimrat Kaur Badal was present too on the occasion through video conference from New Delhi.

On 51 acres land this Park has been set up and Cremica Industries is investing Rs. 110 crore on it. Further he added that government will invest Rs. 300 crore in the food park at Singha.

Earlier, Vice Chairman SIDC Prof Ram Kumar while welcoming the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion said that this food park would prove as a boon to the upliftments of the people in the region.
