Mother Dairy plans to go organic via Safal

Mother Dairy is all set and well planned to enter organic market via its Safal brand, which will hit directly at current top players in the segment, such as Navdanya, 24 Mantra and Organic India.

Mother Dairy, the wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) at the start will sell its organic range of fresh fruits and vegetables with other cooking ingredients through select 100 Safal outlets across Delhi-NCR. It will source major organic goods from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Sikkim.

Other then the organic produce from farms, a range of organic cooking ingredients such as dry fruits, rice, pulses, spices, millets and wheat flour are being introduced as per the regulations of National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP), Government of India and FSSAI’s Jaivik Bharat norms.

Mother Dairy currently operates around 300 Safal stores across Delhi-NCR.
