Later back Deepinder Goyal, founder and CEO of Zomato, tweeted that “we anticipate dining out will undergo significant and permanent changes in the way it operates. Based on some recent consumer studies, diners are ranking safety assurance and hygiene as their top factors when they choose a restaurant for dine in.”
Post lockdown, dining at restaurants would experience something like contactless dining, open kitchens, different pattern of seating arrangements and disinfectant machines at entrances. With these extensive plans that the restaurants are planning for post lockdown phase, adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards will be the primary focus.
Restaurants are looking at triad phase plan to get the business back on tracks. The first phase will focus to make restaurants more hygienic and with more safe spaces. Second phase, a tough one, will aim to gain consumers’ confidence to bring back at least 20-30% of the business. Third phase, will be focusing primarily on footfalls will prove as the biggest challenge to wait patiently in which restaurateurs expect will take six-eight months post lockdown.
