The super dairy of India, Amul has launched a healthy beverage product called ‘Amul TRU Seltzer’, which is melded with dairy, fruit juice and fizz. Amul claims the Seltzer is the first-ever product launched in the Indian market.
“India’s first Seltzer, Amul TRU Seltzer, is currently available in two flavours — lemon and orange. It is attractively priced at just Rs. 15 for 200 ml PET bottle,” Amul said in a statement. While Orange Seltzer contains 10 percent orange juice, and 10 percent added sugar, it is free of any artificial colours or, Lemon Seltzer also contains 5 percent real lime juice, with 9 percent added sugar and has no artificial colours or flavours added to it.
According to Amul’s statement, “Amul TRU Seltzer is the finest blend of dairy, fruits , and fizz. The products contain the goodness of dairy, real fruit juice, and exciting fizz. It is therefore much more than just sugar and water which every brand has been selling to Indian consumers”.Having healthy ingredients, the Seltzer beverage is suitable for consumption by all age groups.
In short while, Amul is going to roll out many new variants like Apple, Jeera, and Cola, which will be made from real fruit, will be available in PET bottles. All the flavours will also be made available in smart Can packaging.
“Globally, seltzers are made with the infusion of juices and interesting flavours. It has already emerged as the fastest-growing category in the Western countries,” Amul informed.
At the moment, the products have already been launched in the Gujarat market and very soon these products will be seen all over India.
