You have been in the food industry for quite some time and have made quite an impression on processed Hing and spices. Please share your journey for far.
I have been in this industry since 1998 and was always very passionate about the same. Being very traditional at heart and a true Indian, I would like to bring India on a global platform through our rich, affluent culture and heritage. I did have opportunities to venture into other businesses because my family was very liberal and open in that context. But somehow, I was profoundly zealous about the spices and the condiments industry of India. Also a foodie, so it became all the more natural to get attracted to this vertical. It has been a long journey to understand the verticles of the market by targeting the right audience the right product at the right time and place. Shubh Food today is one of the fastest-growing Hing companies in India that deals in various types of Hings and its customized formulations. We completely believe in high-velocity Customer Satisfaction.

How are spices and hing graded for quality? What is the nutrition value of your products? Please mention the range of variants that your portfolio offers.
We’ve persisted so long because of our superior quality standards. We have our own in-house laboratory where all the samples/ raw material are duly checked/analyzed before production. We only use best-grade raw materials for our products. The truth is, colour control is a primary factor in quality analysis, which is used during the production of spices around the world and we maintain the same in natural form by adding no artificial chemicals or colours. Health-conscious consumers in India are now more aware of adulteration in spices. They now prefer packaged spices instead of loose spices. We are FSSAI approved firm under GFSI, hence all the products are as per the approved FSSAI norms. We have lots of variants in hing as powder, raw, granules, khada, nukhra forms.

It is the largest producer, consumer, and exporter of spices in the international spice market. Traditionally, spices in India was grown on small landholdings. Now with organic farming gaining prominence in recent times, the demand for organic spices is gaining preference overall. The Indian Packaged and Blended Spices Market have shown tremendous growth in the past couple of years. The consumers are observed to be shifting from standard, local and regional brands towards national brands. The consumption of foreign brands is also observed to be Increasing in Indian Packaged & Blended Spices market.
