Coffee with cookie dough, bubble gum and pistachio, and other unusual combinations…
If you were in the capital’s Yas Mall over the weekend, you would have been in for a very sweet treat, as Abu Dhabi set a global record for “the most varieties of ice cream on display.”
A staggering 1,001 ice cream flavours were on exhibit at the cool and colourful event. The Guinness World Records crew was on hand and presented the record to Abu Dhabi Culinary, the culinary branch of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.
On Friday, July 2, 2021, the event took place in the Ice Cream Lab pop-up at Yas Mall as part of the all-new Abu Dhabi Shopping and Dining Season. It was a cooperation with Pan-n-Ice, the pioneers of ice cream rolls in the United Kingdom.
Though ice cream lovers basically love the classic flavours such as chocolate, strawberry and vanilla, there were infinite other unique creations that were also whipped up by the team for the occasion, giving an array choice and selection.
Coffee and cookie dough, bubble gum and pistachio, mint Oreo and meringue, matcha and passion fruit, and cherry and popping candy are among the 1,001 flavours.
To ensure a safe experience for all, Abu Dhabi Shopping and Dining Season promotions are organised in accordance with strict health and safety procedures mandated by the Government of Abu Dhabi.
