As summer starts, PVR Cinemas launches V-Frozen gourmet gelatos

PVR Cinemas expanded their F&B offering by launching superior grade Gourmet Gelatos under the brand name ‘PVR V-Frozen,’ a first for the movie industry.

Because these gelatos are prepared from a natural combination of Italian and Indian ingredients, they are minimal in calories and sugar while yet having a delicious flavour. Green Tea Matcha, Strawberry, Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel, Coconut Vegan and Sugar Free, Belgian Chocolate, and French Vanilla are among the six flavours available. PVR V-Frozen Gelatos are delicious and healthy, with no preservatives and are available in 500 mL tubs.

Gelato is an Italian frozen delicacy, and the name “gelato” literally translates to “ice cream” in Italian. The ice cream is made with more milk and less cream, and no egg yolks, which are commonly used in ice cream. As a result, it is healthier than ice cream since it has less fat. At the first phase, it will be released in select theatres in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Indore, Surat, and Hyderabad.

PVR Limited’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Rahul Singh, stated, “PVR recognises that food is an important element of a patron’s movie-going experience; as a result, via menu innovation and new initiatives, we have been able to pamper our guests with choice, catering to a wide range of consumer expectations while also improving seasonal and daypart offerings.” With this product, we hope to appeal to a health-conscious clientele. We now have better insights into their choices thanks to audience consumption statistics, and we can tailor our menu to their changing tastes.

After theatre snacks like popcorn, nachos, and aerated drinks, ready-to-eat (RTE) food is quickly becoming a significant area within PVR’s ‘Eats’ portfolio. PVR has been able to modify consumer perceptions by offering a wide selection of RTE and freshly prepared meals in its theatre.

Because of the variety, quality, and distinct offering, people are now opting to consume a meal inside the theatre. PVR has lately added Bento Box Meals in Indian and Asian cuisine, which customers love, as well as the real flavour and scent of Hyderabadi Murg and Paneer Biryanis. The gelatos are part of the Ready-to-Eat foods category, which PVR is aggressively seeking to grow.
