In a significant move towards advancing food innovation, Swiss technology giant Bühler unveiled its cutting-edge food innovation hub on November 20, establishing a consolidated space for diverse capabilities and paving the way for groundbreaking product and process development.
The unveiling introduces four new Application & Training Centers (ATCs), namely the Flavor Creation Center, Food Creation Center, Protein Application Center, and Energy Recovery Center. These centers, along with existing facilities like the Extrusion Application Center, are now open to customers. By seamlessly connecting various aspects of the value chain, these ATCs foster a circular economy approach to food production. Leveraging Bühler’s state-of-the-art infrastructure and a team of seasoned experts, customers gain access to an optimal environment for navigating dynamic market changes and crafting the food solutions of tomorrow.
Johannes Wick, CEO of Grains & Food at Bühler Group, emphasized the importance of adaptability in today’s rapidly evolving landscape. “In this world where requirements are changing so fast, customers need flexibility and creativity to adapt their products, addressing key issues such as sustainability, the use of local raw materials, healthy diets, and affordability,” Wick stated. “With the completion of the new application & training centres, we are able to cover the entire scope of production, from different raw materials to multiple types of finished products. We can offer our customers enormous flexibility and the options they need to disrupt their markets.”
The move underscores Bühler’s commitment to providing innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the food industry. The newly established hub is poised to be a hub of creativity, driving advancements in food technology and reinforcing Bühler’s position as a leader in the global food innovation landscape.
