Epigamia, the Mumbai-based health snack brand, has announced the elevation of Rahul Jain, its Chief Operating Officer, to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Jain takes over the role from Rohan Mirchandani, the co-founder, who transitions to the role of executive chairman. Additionally, Ankur Goel, a founding member responsible for overseeing the company’s supply chain and business intelligence functions, has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer.
In his new role as CEO, Rahul Jain, an alumnus of IIT-Bombay and the Indian School of Business-Hyderabad, will lead the overall business strategy of Epigamia. This includes focusing on FMCG innovation, competitiveness, and identifying new opportunities in the market. Jain, with a background in finance and experience co-launching Doctor Moo, a successful organic milk brand, brings a wealth of expertise to the position.
Epigamia, available at over 20,000 touch points in more than 30 towns, has strategically positioned its products in major retail outlets such as DMart, Reliance, Nature’s Basket, and more. The brand has also established a robust presence on various e-commerce platforms, including Big Basket, Swiggy Instamart, Amazon, Zepto, and Blinkit.
Over the past year, Epigamia has implemented strategic cost optimization measures across diverse functions, leading to significantly improved profit margins, according to the company. The brand aims to further enhance profitability and maintain its competitive edge in the FMCG space under Rahul Jain’s leadership.
