Reliance Consumer Products, the FMCG arm of Reliance Retail, has announced its partnership with Sri Lanka’s Elephant House beverage company to introduce the brand to India. According to a media release on Wednesday, Reliance Consumer will undertake the manufacturing, marketing, distribution, and sales of Elephant House beverages throughout India.
Elephant House, a subsidiary of Ceylon Cold Stores PLC under John Keells Holdings PLC, offers a range of beverages, including Necto, Cream Soda, EGB (Ginger Beer), Orange Barley, and Lemonade.
Ketan Mody, COO of Reliance Consumer Products, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Elephant House, which enjoys strong market credibility, is an iconic brand with a deep-rooted heritage. This partnership will add its much-loved beverages to our growing FMCG portfolio and offer our Indian consumers great choice and value proposition through quality products.”
Additionally, Reliance Consumer’s FMCG portfolio includes well-known brands like Campa, Sosyo Hajoori, Alan’s Bugles, Masti Oye, and Maliban. The company aims to expand its reach across diverse markets by scaling up its multi-channel operations, as mentioned in the release.
