Food and grocery platform Swiggy has introduced a new service called Bolt, enabling 10-minute delivery of meals and beverages in major cities including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Chennai, and Bangalore. This innovative service aims to offer quick access to popular dishes that require minimal preparation time, partnering with restaurants located within a 2 km radius of customers.
The Bolt service features a diverse menu, including items such as burgers, breakfast dishes, biryani, and a selection of hot and cold beverages. Ready-to-pack options like ice cream, sweets, and snacks are also available.
Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy’s Food Marketplace, emphasized the evolution of convenience in food delivery, stating, “Ten years ago, Swiggy revolutionized food delivery by cutting average wait times to 30 minutes. Now, we’re reducing that wait even further for frequently ordered items.”
The company plans to expand the Bolt service to additional locations in the coming weeks. Notably, Swiggy has assured that delivery partners will not be penalized or incentivized based on delivery time, treating Bolt orders similarly to regular ones.
