GNT, the supplier of plant-based Exberry food colors, has achieved its first EcoVadis gold medal for its environmental and ethical efforts, placing it among the top 3% of companies in the food manufacturing sector.
Since 2017, GNT has utilized Eco Vadis, a globally recognized business sustainability rating system, to assess its performance and drive improvements. After earning a silver medal last year, GNT’s upgraded gold ranking comes with a score of 78 out of 100, positioning it in the 97th percentile of assessed food manufacturers.
Eco Vadis evaluated GNT’s sustainability performance across four critical areas:
- Environment: High scores for transparent reporting, including an independent greenhouse gas verification statement.
- Labour & Human Rights: New initiatives supporting employee training, health, safety, and improved working conditions throughout the supply chain.
- Ethics: Enhanced ratings driven by the introduction of a new Code of Conduct and whistle-blower policy.
- Sustainable Procurement: Recognition of efforts to promote responsible sourcing practices.
The gold medal underscores GNT’s commitment to leading the food colouring industry in sustainability. Exberry colors, derived from fruits, vegetables, and plants, align with the company’s mission to offer eco-friendly and ethically sourced products.
GNT’s gold medal serves as a signal to manufacturers worldwide that sustainability is at the core of its operations. This recognition will strengthen its position as a trusted partner in providing natural, plant-based food coloring solutions.
