Godrej Agrovet Signs MoU with Andhra Pradesh for ₹70 Crore Dairy Expansion, New Oil Palm Centres

Godrej Agrovet Ltd, one of India’s largest diversified agri-food companies, has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh government to invest ₹70 crore in expanding its dairy processing capacity and strengthening support services for oil palm farmers.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Godrej Agrovet MD & CEO Sunil Kataria, and Rakesh Swami, Group President – Corporate Affairs, Godrej Industries Group.

Chief Minister Naidu said the partnership aligns with the state’s focus on boosting agri-food processing and farmer welfare. “Strengthening the agri-food processing sector is imperative for the prosperity of our farmers. We are delighted to partner with Godrej Agrovet, a strong and reliable player in this sector. This collaboration will help strengthen our agricultural ecosystem, create sustainable livelihoods, and drive economic growth,” he said.

Under the agreement, Godrej Agrovet’s dairy arm, Creamline Dairy Products Ltd—which operates under the Godrej Jersey brand—will expand its dairy processing and value-added products capacity in three phases.

Additionally, the company’s oil palm division, India’s largest oil palm processor, will establish five new Samadhan Centers. These centres act as one-stop hubs offering technical knowledge, tools, services, and end-to-end support for oil palm farmers.

“Today’s MoU is a testimony to our commitment to strengthening India’s agri-food processing capabilities while empowering farmers,” said Sunil Kataria. “With a strong legacy of innovation, our mission remains to advance India’s nutrition landscape and contribute to the growth of the agri-economy.”

Rakesh Swami added that Andhra Pradesh remains a crucial state for the Godrej group across sectors. “This MoU reflects the state’s speed of doing business and its investor-friendly approach. We look forward to contributing to Andhra Pradesh’s growth story and expanding our presence across consumer, real estate, and financial services,” he said.

The investment marks a significant boost for both dairy value chains and the fast-growing oil palm sector in Andhra Pradesh, reinforcing the state’s position as a key agri-processing hub.
