Founder Shashi Kumar eyes pan-India growth as the brand scales organic dairy footprint
Akshayakalpa Organic has entered the key western markets of Mumbai and Pune, marking a significant step in its ambition to become a pan-India dairy player.
The company is investing ₹50 crore to build infrastructure, strengthen distribution networks, and enhance processing capabilities in the region. The expansion will introduce Akshayakalpa’s full portfolio of certified organic dairy products, along with its high-protein range, to consumers in Maharashtra.
Announcing the move, founder and CEO Shashi Kumar said the entry into Mumbai and Pune aligns with the brand’s core focus on trust, transparency, and quality, while also aiming to redefine how dairy products are sourced and consumed in urban markets.
The western India foray builds on the company’s strong growth momentum across southern markets such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Akshayakalpa Organic is on track to close FY26 with revenues in the range of ₹550–600 crore, supported by rising demand for clean-label and organic dairy offerings.
With increasing consumer preference for traceable and chemical-free food, the company’s expansion signals a deeper push into premium dairy, positioning it to tap into evolving urban consumption trends.
