HyFun Foods has entered into a tripartite partnership with Adani Logistics and Evergreen Marine Corporation to establish an integrated and environmentally sustainable export logistics corridor for frozen potato products.
The initiative introduces a dedicated rail freight solution for transporting HyFun Foods’ frozen products for exports, significantly reducing dependence on road transportation and improving supply chain efficiency.
Under the arrangement, the dedicated train service will operate from Virochannagar Inland Container Depot (ICD) to Mundra Port, part of the integrated logistics network operated by Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone. Overseas shipments will be managed by Evergreen Marine Corporation, creating an end-to-end export corridor for temperature-controlled products.
According to the company, each train movement is expected to replace nearly 40 road trips, helping reduce fuel consumption, traffic congestion and carbon emissions while ensuring more reliable cold-chain transportation.
The move comes as HyFun Foods accelerates its global expansion strategy amid rising international demand for frozen potato products and processed foods.
“Today, HyFun Foods exports to more than 40 countries across global markets, and this collaboration will further strengthen our export capabilities by enabling more efficient and sustainably reliable export operations,” said Kamlesh Karamchandani, Group Executive Director of HyFun Foods.
He added that the initiative would support the company’s long-term ambition to expand its global presence to more than 100 countries in the coming years.
The partnership also reflects the growing focus among Indian food exporters on greener logistics infrastructure, multimodal transportation and carbon-efficient supply chains as sustainability becomes a key factor in international trade and food exports.
