SLMG Beverages, India’s largest Coca-Cola bottler, has been given 34.48 acres of land in Amethi’s Trishundi Industrial Area. The corporation intends to invest Rs 700 crores in the establishment of a beverage packaging facility.
Mayur Maheshwari, CEO of the UP State Industrial Development Administration (UPSIDA), stated that it took only 17 days for the authority to design and allocate a “tailor-made site” of 34.48 acres for SLMG Beverages. “This demonstrates UPSIDA’s commitment to welcoming enterprises to establish themselves in UP, as well as the ease of doing business changes made by the UP government to make the state the most favoured investment destination,” he added.
According to Maheshwari, UP was a favourite destination for SLMG Beverages, which has seven production sites scattered across the state. The projected project in Amethi was supposed to employ 650 people.
