Annapurna Swadisht Enters Soya Foods with ₹15-Crore Acquisition of Andri Agro

Packaged foods company Annapurna Swadisht Ltd (ASL) has acquired a 75% stake in West Bengal–based Andri Agro Foods Pvt Ltd (AAFPL) in a deal valued at ₹15 crore, marking its entry into the fast-growing soya-based foods segment.

Following the transaction, Andri Agro Foods will become a subsidiary of Annapurna Swadisht, the company said in a statement. The acquisition is aimed at expanding ASL’s product portfolio and strengthening its presence in both domestic and international markets.

Andri Agro Foods manufactures soya chunks and textured vegetable protein (TVP), which are increasingly used as affordable, high-protein food alternatives. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Raniganj, West Bengal, with an annual production capacity of 4.2 lakh tonnes. It markets its products under the ‘So Best’ brand and also undertakes job work for major food brands such as Haldiram and Akash.

“The acquisition of Andri Agro Foods will enable us to establish our presence in the soya-based products market in India and overseas. It will also help us enter the grocery segment through bulk and premium namkeen products,” said Shreeram Bagla, Chairman and Managing Director of Annapurna Swadisht.

The deal is expected to open new export avenues for Annapurna’s existing product range while also boosting sales of namkeen and soya-based offerings. The two companies are targeting a combined turnover of ₹50–60 crore at around 60% capacity utilization of the acquired plant.

Annapurna Swadisht had reported consolidated revenues of ₹249.9 crore in the first half of FY26. The Andri Agro acquisition marks the company’s second major inorganic expansion move, following its purchase of Madhur Confectioners in FY25, which helped it expand into international markets such as the UAE, Europe and Africa.

With this latest deal, Annapurna Swadisht is positioning itself to tap into the growing demand for protein-rich and value-added food products in both Indian and global markets.
