Bikaji Foods International has acquired a 55% stake in Ujjain-based snacks and frozen foods company Ariba Foods for Rs. 60.49 crores, the company announced in a press release on Friday. The acquisition is aimed at boosting Bikaji’s frozen food production capabilities and expanding its market presence.
“This strategic move not only strengthens our capacity for export growth but also supports our entry into the QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) segment. By integrating Ariba’s state-of-the-art production capabilities, we aim to enhance our frozen snacks and savoury manufacturing,” said Deepak Agarwal, Managing Director of Bikaji Foods International.
Ariba Foods, known for its InDine brand, manufactures and sells a variety of snacks and frozen foods, including samosas, naans, parathas, and sweets. The company also offers contract manufacturing services.
Gaurav Baheti, promoter of Ariba Foods, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “This acquisition marks an exciting milestone for Ariba Foods. Our strategic location and state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities will enable us to drive significant growth in the frozen food category together.”
This acquisition aligns with Bikaji Foods’ strategy to strengthen its foothold in the frozen food market and explore new avenues for growth in both domestic and international markets.
