Bringing to light the decision to join the family business, Chirag Bothra, director of the company, narrates the happenings.”In the year 2014, after completing my Master’s in Finance, I returned to India and decided to join my family business. From the very beginning, my parents had given me the liberty to choose and create the path I wanted to walk on. Therefore, even after working for a year in a corporate job, I was inclined towards joining our family business with the vision of increasing efficiency and expanding it. “RAJKAMAL NAMKEENS,” our brand, has been providing quality-based namkeens and sweets for the past 45 years, and I am now the third generation running the business”.
It was a bit challenging to adapt to the change initially since many of the operations were based on traditional methods. However, I was asked to join the marketing department to gain more perspective about the industry, insights into customer needs, and the workings of the supply chain in the market.
Once I became well-acquainted with the market trends, I could see my vision to expand our business beyond the existing clients finally coming to life when my father and grandfather entrusted me with capturing new markets Pan-India. Yes, the process was slow and filled with difficulties, but the thrill of meeting new people, developing personal bonds with them, and the sheer happiness of knowing that our products would eventually bring joy to many more people than we could imagine kept me going. Over the course of a few years, we developed over 300+ clients Pan-India and continue to strive for more.
After COVID-19, we started a bakery unit. The response to most of our products in the market was so overwhelming that we didn’t even realize the challenges we faced initially. We’ve curated distinguished recipes, such as Baked Methi Bhakerwadi, Baked Gujiya, and Soanpapdi Nankhatai, which were well-received by our direct customers. We have also just started manufacturing Baklawa and currently produce over 150 products of Namkeens & Sweets and over 50 bakery items.
I would like to conclude by saying that the journey will always be a rollercoaster ride. However, we must always have faith in ourselves and never give up on any dream.
