Coca-Cola India Appoints Greishma Singh as New Marketing VP

Coca-Cola India has named Greishma Singh as its new Vice President of Marketing. Singh, who has been with the Coca-Cola system for over 11 years across India and Australia, transitions from her previous role as Vice President of Customer and Commercial Leadership. In her former position, she was instrumental in driving revenue growth, market value, and customer management strategies.

This leadership change follows the departure of former marketing head Arnab Roy, who has now assumed a new role as President of Coca-Cola’s global category based in Atlanta.

Coca-Cola India, one of the country’s largest advertisers, continues to strengthen its leadership team as it navigates the competitive beverage market. The company has recently reported robust double-digit volume growth in the April-June quarter, fuelled by the strong performance of brands like Sprite, Fanta, and the local favourite, Thums Up.

Although a formal announcement regarding Singh’s appointment is expected in the coming days, a Coca-Cola spokesperson declined to comment on the development.

In late 2023, Coca-Cola renewed its partnership with the International Cricket Council (ICC) for eight years, securing exclusive marketing rights for major ICC events, including the World Cup and Champions Trophy, until 2031. This move underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to leveraging sports sponsorships to enhance brand visibility.

Coca-Cola’s CEO, James Quincey, expressed optimism about the Indian market during a recent earnings call, noting the company’s strong performance in the region. “With a strong second quarter, the India business had a big swing on results. While growth won’t be a straight line, we certainly remain bullish on the Indian market,” Quincey said.
