BioNEST at CSIR-CFTRI, in collaboration with the Coffee Quality Division of the Coffee Board of India, is inviting applications for a five-day specialised barista training programme titled “A Bean to Brew Journey – Master the Basics of Brewing.”
Scheduled from September 1 to 5, 2025, at CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, the programme is designed to provide hands-on professional training in coffee brewing and service. Participation is limited to the first 20 applicants only.
Open to candidates who have completed their 12th standard, the non-residential programme will be conducted in English. Lunch and coffee will be provided daily.
Training Highlights:
Espresso Basics – Grind size, extraction, tamping.
Milk Frothing & Latte Art – Creating perfect micro-foam and designs.
Customer Service Excellence – Building rapport and delivering quality service.
Coffee Knowledge – Origins, tasting notes, and sensory skills.
Equipment Maintenance – Handling espresso machines and grinders.
Hygiene & Safety – Ensuring quality and cleanliness.
Certification – Awarded by the Coffee Board of India.
The programme fee is ₹10,000 + 18% GST, with a 50% concession for SC, ST, and student participants.
