In a recent development, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has announced an extension of the deadline for the submission of online proposals seeking financial assistance for infrastructure projects in the food processing sector under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojna (PMKSY).
Investors and entrepreneurs now have until December 15, 2023, at 5 p.m. to submit their bids, providing a valuable opportunity for those interested in participating in the initiative.
A notice issued by the MoFPI states, “The closing date for submission of online proposals against the Expression of Interest (EoI) is hereby extended up to 17.00 hrs of December 15, 2023.”
Interested parties can access further details on the MoFPI’s Sampada portal.
Earlier in October, the MoFPI had invited bid proposals under the sub-schemes of PMKSY, outlining guidelines for establishing infrastructure projects in the food processing sector. The initial deadline for proposal submissions was November 22, 2023, at 17.00 hrs.
The solicited proposals encompassed various aspects, including the creation of infrastructure for agro-processing clusters, the expansion of food processing and preservation capacities, the development of integrated cold chain and value-added infrastructure, the establishment or upgrade of food testing laboratories, and participation in Operation Greens—Long Term Intervention.
