The Eat Right Food Summit 2022 was held in Delhi by Herbalife Nutrition, a leading worldwide nutrition firm. As part of the Eat Right India campaign, which aims to promote and provide safe, healthy, and nutritious diet choices by upgrading the infrastructure of food outlets and enhancing the awareness and skill set of food handlers and customers, this strategic forum brought together stakeholders from government, politics, and the private sector to set the agenda for a healthier future.
Ajay Khanna, Sr. Vice President & India Country Head, Herbalife Nutrition, commented on the initiative, saying, “We consider it a privilege to work on our Eat Right campaign, which is in line with the Government of India’s National Health Policy 2017, which places a strong emphasis on preventive and promotive healthcare and flagship programmes. Eat Right India is a national movement aimed at transforming the country’s food system by ensuring that everyone has access to safe, nutritious, and sustainable meals at all times. This is not only a method for us to celebrate our achievements thus far, but it is also an integrated platform for us to think and discuss together on creative ideas for a healthy tomorrow. Such summits and conferences aim to increase collaboration by facilitating open discourse among stakeholders in order to develop a future roadmap.”
State Secretariats, ISRO campuses, Police training centres, Air Force camps, universities, colleges, and railway stations are among the forty campuses where Herbalife Nutrition is assisting with the Eat Right Campaign’s execution. Herbalife Nutrition also ran a number of public awareness campaigns around the country to assist people understand the benefits of eating well as part of living a healthy lifestyle. This initiative has now covered 17 mass canteens since it began in December 2021. Hubbali Railway Station, Central Prison, and Indo-Tibetan Police Force in Madurai, Collector’s Office, IAS Academy in Pune, ISRO campus, and others have already been accredited, demonstrating that this project is aimed at a broader public audience.
In 2021, Herbalife will launch Eat Right awareness campaigns in Bengaluru and Mysore as a trial. By enlisting notable speakers and publicising them via social media and radio channels in Bengaluru, a series of awareness videos were created to educate locals on safe, nutritious, and balanced eating. The Eat Right Food Summit was a crucial event for fostering collaboration and open communication among stakeholders in order to develop a future roadmap.
