Heritage Foods Upholds Strict Quality Standards, Supports 3 Lakh Farmers: Nara Bhuvaneswari

Heritage Foods follows stringent quality control norms and remains committed to empowering dairy farmers, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director Nara Bhuvaneswari said, amid political criticism targeting the company.

Bhuvaneswari’s remarks come at a time when the dairy major, promoted by family members of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has faced allegations from the opposition YSR Congress Party. The party has reportedly attempted to link Heritage Foods with Indapur Dairy, which supplied ghee to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

In a video message posted on social media platform X, Bhuvaneswari dismissed what she described as a campaign questioning the quality of Heritage products. She said every product undergoes 25 quality tests before reaching consumers and is monitored by over 500 experts to ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and quality standards.

“Every product reaches your home only after passing 25 quality tests, monitored by more than 500 experts. Across nine states, we work with nearly 3 lakh farmers, guided by the principles of transparency, fair pricing and timely payments,” she said.

Founded as a ₹4 crore venture, Heritage Foods has grown into a ₹4,000 crore enterprise, she added, stressing that the company has never compromised on quality during its expansion.

According to Bhuvaneswari, the company adheres to testing procedures and standards that are more stringent than statutory requirements. She also invited consumers and stakeholders to independently verify the company’s quality practices.

Heritage Foods is among the prominent dairy brands in southern India, with a wide procurement network and a significant farmer base spanning multiple state.
