Frozen food maker HyFun Foods plans to invest about ₹900 crore to build a new manufacturing facility in North Gujarat, expected to be operational by November–December 2026, according to Managing Director Haresh Karamchandani.
The new plant will more than double the company’s production capacity. French fries capacity will increase from 110,000 tonnes to 245,000 tonnes, while potato specialties will rise from 15,000 tonnes to 40,000 tonnes. The unit will become HyFun’s sixth facility, located in its existing manufacturing cluster in Mehsana.
HyFun currently works with 7,000 contract farmers across Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, and expects this network to expand to 12,000–15,000 farmers as production increases.
The company reported ₹1,350 crore revenue in FY25 and expects ₹1,500 crore this year, targeting ₹3,500 crore by FY28 after the new capacity becomes operational in 2027.
Exports account for about 70% of revenue, with shipments mainly to Southeast Asia, the Far East, and GCC markets. HyFun also supplies hash browns to Walmart in the United States.
Looking ahead, the company plans to set up a plant in Madhya Pradesh, explore expansion into Uttar Pradesh, diversify into onion processing, and prepare for an IPO around 2028–29.
