The Institute of Good Manufacturing Practices India (IGMPI) has completed more than a decade of operations, reinforcing its role as one of the country’s leading centres for training and development in food safety, quality systems, and regulatory affairs.
Recognized by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, the institute has played a key role in bridging the gap between industry and academia, equipping thousands of professionals with practical knowledge to meet national and international compliance standards. Over the years, IGMPI has trained industry personnel across the life sciences and food sectors, contributing to India’s regulatory and manufacturing capabilities.
IGMPI holds accreditation and approvals from key bodies, including the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) through its sector skill councils, and the Quality Council of India (QCI), further strengthening its position in competency-based learning and industry-focused education.
“Our mission has always been to empower professionals with globally benchmarked, practical skills that promote quality, safety, and sustainability across industries,” said Prof. Dr. Syed S. Abbas, Director, IGMPI. “As we enter our next decade, we remain committed to innovation-led education and strong collaborations with global industry leaders.”
With specialized centres and schools spanning nutrition and dietetics, food safety and quality, environmental health and safety, sustainable cybersecurity, pharmaceutical sciences, healthcare research, and clinical research and drug safety, the institute continues to support the development of a future-ready workforce in regulated sectors.
As it celebrates this milestone, IGMPI has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing excellence in regulatory science, sustainable development, and quality systems — ensuring India’s continued leadership in manufacturing, compliance, and global food safety standards.
