ITC Limited has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire Hyderabad-based Sresta Natural Bioproducts, the owner of the 24 Mantra Organic brand, in an all-cash deal worth ₹472.5 crore. The acquisition includes an upfront payment of ₹400 crore and a contingent ₹72.5 crore based on performance milestones over two years.
With over 100 products and a vertically integrated supply chain backed by 27,500 farmers across 1.4 lakh acres of certified organic farmland, 24 Mantra Organic brings to ITC a strong presence in staples, spices, oils, and beverages. The acquisition aligns with ITC’s ‘Next’ strategy to expand its nutrition-led, future-ready food portfolio and leverage synergies in sourcing, product innovation, and distribution.
Hemant Malik, Wholetime Director at ITC, said the deal would reinforce ITC’s standing in the fast-growing organic sector both in India and globally. Founder Rajashekar Reddy Seelam noted that ITC’s entry marks a new phase of scale and impact for 24 Mantra Organic, preserving its legacy while expanding farmer welfare and consumer access.
The Indian organic market, currently estimated at ₹10,000 crore, remains under-penetrated with significant growth potential amid increasing consumer preference for natural and organic products. This strategic move positions ITC to tap into that opportunity and contribute to India’s emergence as a global organic sourcing hub.
