Manam Chocolates Debuts in Delhi with a Blend of Quiet Luxury and Southern Flavours

Hyderabad’s celebrated craft chocolate brand opens its flagship store at Eldeco Centre, bringing origin-led storytelling, premium cacao, and indulgent experiences to the capital.

Hyderabad’s artisanal chocolate house, Manam Chocolates, has officially launched its flagship Delhi store at Eldeco Centre, marking the brand’s first expansion beyond its hometown. Known for its origin-driven craft chocolate, immersive storytelling, and refined southern flavours, Manam’s new outpost blends luxury with authenticity in a space that feels more like a sensorial chocolate laboratory than a typical retail outlet.

Spread across 3,000 square feet, the Manam space is designed to offer more than just chocolate — it’s an experience. Exposed industrial piping carrying molten chocolate overhead sets the tone for the brand’s unique approach. With its tall ceilings, live-casting screens, and curated tastings, the store introduces visitors not only to the final product but also to its roots — from the cacao farms of West Godavari in Andhra Pradesh to the Distinct Origins fermentary and chocolate karkhana (factory) in Hyderabad.

“We wanted Delhi to get the full experience of what makes Manam special — the flavours, yes, but also the journey,” said Chaitanya Muppalla, Founder of Manam Chocolates and CEO of Distinct Origins Pvt Ltd. “Every bar of chocolate has a story. And every story begins on the farm, with the farmer.”

Muppalla, who launched Manam in 2018, is India’s first Level 3 Certified Chocolate Taster, accredited by the International Institute of Chocolate and Cacao Tasting (USA). Under his leadership, Manam has positioned itself as a brand that prioritizes traceability, ethical sourcing, and origin-forward craft. Through its sister company Distinct Origins, the brand works with over 150 farmers across 3,000 acres in West Godavari, offering scientific training, sustainable farming practices, and a partnership model that recognizes farmers as co-creators.

“For us, luxury is not flashy — it’s layered, ethical, and rooted,” Muppalla added. “It’s about knowing where your chocolate comes from, how it was grown, and whose hands shaped it.”

At the helm of Manam’s culinary innovations is Chef Ruby Islam, whose menu at the in-house café nods to both southern India and Delhi’s cosmopolitan palate. Dishes include creamy eggs on fresh sourdough, fries with Guntur chilli mayo, and the standout spaghetti gongura aglio olio — a fusion of traditional Telugu flavours and European technique. Even the desserts, naturally, spotlight chocolate in inventive forms, often drawing on local ingredients and nostalgic flavours.

The store also features the Manam Classroom — a dedicated space for chocolate workshops and masterclasses — furthering the brand’s mission to educate consumers on fine-flavour cacao and craft chocolate making.

Choosing Delhi as the brand’s first expansion market was a deliberate move, Muppalla said. “Delhi is a city that values craftsmanship — in food, art, fashion, and design. It has a refined gifting culture, especially around weddings and festivals. We saw an opportunity to offer a new kind of indulgence — something that’s both exquisite and deeply rooted in Indian terroir.”

Manam’s Delhi launch comes at a time when Indian consumers are increasingly drawn to premium, traceable, and homegrown brands. By combining contemporary design with deeply regional ingredients and processes, Manam Chocolates is carving out a distinct space for Indian craft chocolate on a national stage.

Whether it’s the quiet storytelling in every bite, the immersive bean-to-bar transparency, or the culinary homage to southern roots, Manam’s Delhi debut is not just about selling chocolate — it’s about creating a cultural, artisanal experience in the heart of the capital.
