– McVitie’s has unveiled a new limited-edition flavour — Pink Raspberry & Cream Digestives — as part of the centenary celebrations of its iconic Chocolate Digestives range.
The golden-baked biscuits, topped with a raspberry and cream-flavoured coating, aim to evoke nostalgic flavours in a fun, fruity, and indulgent twist on the classic treat. They will be available exclusively at Sainsbury’s from June 16, followed by a wider retail rollout in July across multiple retailers, convenience stores, and wholesale depots.
“As we celebrate 100 years of McVitie’s Chocolate Digestives, we wanted to reinvent the nation’s favourite with a flavour that feels both nostalgic and fresh,” said Benazir Barlet-Batada, Marketing Director for the UK and Ireland at McVitie’s parent company, Pladis. “Pink continues to trend across food and drink, and our new Pink Digestives are designed to surprise and delight fans and foodies alike.”
Founded in 2016, Pladis owns a portfolio of popular snack brands including McVitie’s, Jacob’s, Carr’s, Go Ahead, and Flipz. The company operates 27 bakeries in 11 countries, has six facilities in the UK, and employs over 16,000 people globally.
Earlier this year, Mete Buyurgan took over as CEO of Pladis UK and Ireland, following David Murray’s appointment as Global Chief Commercial Officer. The company also recently expanded its Asian footprint by launching a commercial and distribution hub in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
