Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma met with Minister of Development of the North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jyotiraditya Scindia in New Delhi to discuss strategies for increasing the yield of oil palm farmers per hectare in Mizoram. The discussions centred on addressing the farmers’ needs and establishing a Samadhan Centre in the state to provide comprehensive support.
The two leaders also explored the possibility of setting up an oil palm refinery to enhance the efficiency of the existing mill’s operations. This initiative aims to bolster the overall productivity and profitability of the oil palm industry in Mizoram.
In addition to these agricultural advancements, they reviewed several projects submitted by the Mizoram government to the Ministry of DoNER, which have been pending for many years. The meeting emphasized the importance of expediting these projects to facilitate regional development and economic growth.
