Mondelēz Expands BelVita Line with New Energy Snack Bites

Mondelēz International has introduced BelVita Energy Snack Bites, a new mid-morning snack designed to offer a convenient energy boost for consumers on the go.

The new product is available in two varieties: Banana Dark Chocolate and Sunflower Seed, and Blueberry and Sunflower Seed. Made with real ingredients, the bites contain no high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners.

BelVita, which debuted nearly 30 years ago in France and is now sold in over 50 countries, has been marketed as a nutritious breakfast option that provides sustained energy throughout the morning. The latest launch retains key ingredients from the brand’s signature breakfast biscuits, such as whole grains, fiber, and B vitamins, but in a more portable form.

Mondelēz is positioning the new snack bites as a solution for consumers seeking a quick and nutritious option between breakfast and lunch. The move aligns with growing consumer demand for functional snacks that provide energy, particularly for those with busy lifestyles.

According to data from Statista, nearly two-thirds of consumers expressed interest in energy-boosting snacks in 2020. The global healthy snacks market, valued at $86 billion in 2021, is projected to surpass $152 billion by 2030. With the introduction of BelVita Energy Snack Bites, Mondelēz aims to expand the brand’s presence and tap into this growing market segment.
