MS Dhoni-Backed House of Biryan Raises ₹32 Crore to Fuel Global Expansion

House of Biryan (HoB), a cloud kitchen brand specializing in personalized biryani bowls, has secured ₹32 crore in a growth funding round led by cricket icon MS Dhoni and Bestvantage Investments. The round also saw participation from Mohit Goyal (formerly of CVC Capital), Abhineet Singh (Al Siraj Holdings), and former executives from SoftBank, Kedara, and APAX.

Founded by chefs Mohammed Bhol and Mikhail Shahani, HoB currently operates 22 kitchens across Mumbai, Delhi, and Dubai, with an annualized revenue run rate of ₹50 crore and EBITDA-positive status in its core markets. The company plans to use the funds to scale to 120–150 outlets over the next three years, targeting revenues of ₹450–550 crore.

“With the backing of our marquee investors, we’re building the ‘Chipotle of Biryani’ for global markets,” said co-founders Bhol and Shahani. HoB recently launched its first international kitchen in Dubai and aims to expand into Australia, Japan, the UK, and North America, capitalizing on the growing demand for premium, customizable biryani offerings.
