Mumbai’s iconic Naturals Ice Cream has officially entered Chennai, opening its first outlet in the city on the upscale Khader Nawaz Khan (KNK) Road. Known for its handcrafted, fruit-forward ice creams, the launch comes just in time for peak mango season, offering a refreshing escape from the city’s intense summer heat.
Founded nearly four decades ago, Naturals has grown from a single-store operation to a nationwide favourite with 178 outlets across 15 states. The Chennai store, spread across 1,119 square feet, is the brand’s latest addition, bringing its signature blend of simplicity—fruit, sugar, and milk—to southern India’s coastal capital.
The interiors of the store reflect the brand’s fruity DNA, with colourful murals depicting Mahabaleshwar strawberries, Ratnagiri mangoes, and Kerala coconuts. The Chennai menu features 21 flavours, including popular options like tender coconut, roasted almond, mango, and lychee. This summer’s seasonal highlights include kala jamun, jackfruit, and lychee, with innovative blends such as papaya pineapple, spicy guava, and orange pistachio also available.
In addition to classic scoops, the outlet serves ice cream shakes and fruit sundaes. Each dessert is made using traditional, small-batch methods. Even the waffle cones are made in-house to maintain freshness and quality.
The brand continues its commitment to sourcing real ingredients and reflecting seasonal harvests. A wall inside the store narrates stories from factory workers tracing Naturals’ origins, and will soon include memories and feedback from Chennai customers as part of an ongoing effort to connect with the local community.
With this launch, Naturals is poised to build a strong fan base in Chennai by offering more than just dessert, serving nostalgia and natural indulgence, one scoop at a time.
