Air India has announced a new partnership with Zomato that allows Maharaja Club loyalty members to earn travel rewards on food delivery transactions. The collaboration, effective from Thursday, aims to integrate Air India’s frequent flyer programme with Zomato’s food services, offering benefits that extend beyond air travel.
Key Features of the Air India–Zomato Maharaja Offer
Earn Maharaja Points on Food Orders: Members can earn 2% Maharaja Points on Zomato orders above ₹499. These points can be redeemed for future Air India flights, cabin upgrades, and bookings with Star Alliance partners.
Welcome Bonus for New Members: New Maharaja Club members joining through Zomato will receive 2,000 Maharaja Points after completing their first flight with Air India.
Daily Free Ticket Draw: Every day, one user linking their account will win a one-way Economy Class ticket, valid for six months.
Free Zomato Gold Membership: Linking a Maharaja Club account with Zomato grants a complimentary three-month Zomato Gold membership. Existing Gold members will get an additional three months added to their subscription.
How to Link Accounts
Log in to the Zomato app or website.
Go to Profile → Partner Rewards.
Enter your Maharaja Club ID and confirm.
Place orders as usual; points will reflect in your Maharaja Club account within 24 hours of delivery.
User Issues and Clarification
Some users reported errors while linking their accounts. Air India clarified that only fully completed Maharaja Club profiles are eligible. Members must ensure details like meal preference, seat preference, and a valid ID (Aadhaar or passport) are updated before linking with Zomato.
