Family Values
My family follows strong moral values which we have inherited and those moral values are honesty, never give up and always add value to the world, be patient, and take personal responsibility. I have followed my dream of bringing ‘Nachos’ to India with the support of my father Shri. S. P. Agarwal and have followed the principles laid by him. The snack market sees a new product launch every other day where some fail while some succeed. Cornitos is in neither of the categories yet it does make for a curious case study. Health and affordability are the two criteria that have helped Cornitos to establish Nachos as a Category in India.
The roles of family
members Each member of the family has a well-defined role whereby Production planning, Sales and Administration part is taken care of by me as I have been involved in the project from the beginning. My father takes care of the financial aspects of the business whereas my son Shobhit Agarwal, BS in Food Science & Nutrition from UIUC, USA takes care of social media, e-commerce sales, and new product innovation. With specific roles and responsibilities assigned to each member, we consult each other on important policy matters to arrive at a common decision.
The Changing perception of Young Generation
Youth is bringing in new technology, innovation, and creative ideas that are changing the format of the product keeping flavours and essence intact. Our strategy will be directed to bring innovative products that are agro-based, focused on health, help in improving immunity, and provide value for money to consumers.
The Role of Modern Technologies & Automation
Initially due to lockdowns, the market was adversely effected and sales declined, of late we can see it is gradually coming back to normalcy. To take advantage of this situation, local companies have to improve overall efficiency, do mass-scale domestic production, upgrade technology and focus on rural & export markets.
The production unit of our company is bringing process efficiency at the micro-level through cost control on consumables, controlling process waste, process automation, ensuring breakdown prevention and increasing production efficiency.
Lockdown Consequences
During lockdown, initially the market was impacted quite heavily and sales had taken a strong hit. In a post-lockdown scenario, we hope for a revival of demand and in-home consumption, so we need to focus on establishing new benchmarks, new strategies with long term planning. We are ensuring the availability of our products to boost sales.
We are anticipating a rise in demand both in global as well as domestic markets for Cornitos products and for that, we are planning process automation as well as skill development of the existing workforce to cope up with increasing demands.
We have strengthened the use of digital technology around customers, employees, and business operations. Cornitos Social Media handles are being used for digital marketing, online services, and e-commerce. Cornitos has recently launched an e-commerce website https://shop.cornitos.in/ as part of our Post covid strategy.
Growth this Diwali and the sale of gift hampers
