Paras Dairy (VRS Foods Ltd) is sharpening its retail play while betting big on its Galacia cheese brand and HoReCa expansion, aiming to clock ₹3,300 crore in revenue by FY26, up from about ₹2,700 crore in FY25.
The dairy major, which entered the cheese segment earlier this year, is scaling up operations from its Ahmednagar plant with a focus on mozzarella variants tailored for HoReCa and QSRs, which account for nearly 75% of India’s cheese consumption. Retail distribution is expected to follow within the next 4–6 months.
“We already have close to 100 distributors in the west and south and plan to reach about 500 HoReCa distributors within a year,” said VPS Malik, chief marketing officer, VRS Foods. The Galacia brand has already expanded to Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, with plans to grow from 500 to over 2,000 HoReCa outlets by March 2026.
The company invested around ₹100 crore in its cheese and powder lines at the Ahmednagar facility and will deploy an additional ₹20–30 crore in the next 6–8 months to scale retail distribution.
To strengthen its cold-chain and logistics, Paras Dairy is also building depots capable of handling ambient, chilled (+4°C), and frozen supply lines. Depots are currently operational in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi, with plans to expand to 15 locations within the next year.
