PepsiCo India launches EV Green Corridor, expands electric and CNG fleet to cut supply-chain emissions

PepsiCo India has launched a dedicated EV Green Corridor on the Kosi–Pataudi route connecting Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, as part of its efforts to expand green logistics and reduce emissions across its supply chain.

The corridor has been developed in collaboration with Kalyani Powertrain Ltd, an arm of Bharat Forge Ltd, and will operate with eight 32-foot single-axle repowered electric container trucks. According to the company, the corridor is expected to enable nearly 4.8 lakh electric kilometres annually, helping lower the environmental impact of freight movement.

As part of its broader sustainability strategy, PepsiCo India has also electrified more than 400 distributor-linked vehicles, converting them into electric three-wheelers and four-wheelers to reduce emissions in last-mile delivery operations across multiple markets.

In addition, the company has deployed over 80 CNG vehicles in the National Capital Region (NCR) through its logistics partners to further reduce the carbon footprint of urban transportation.

Jagrut Kotecha, CEO of PepsiCo India & South Asia, said the launch of the EV corridor, along with distributor fleet electrification and CNG deployment, reflects the company’s commitment to building a cleaner, more efficient, and future-ready supply chain.

The Kosi–Pataudi EV Green Corridor has been designed as a scalable model for electric line-haul logistics, supported by charging infrastructure, route optimization, and customized vehicle solutions, the company said, adding that the initiative is part of its long-term plan to integrate sustainable mobility into commercial logistics operations.
