Quick service restaurant (QSR) brands such as Wow Momo, Chaayos, and Blue Tokai are increasingly leveraging quick commerce platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart to cater to rising consumer demand. As India’s quick commerce market is projected to reach $75 billion by 2032, QSR chains are actively launching customized versions of their best-selling products to drive sales.
Brands like Wow Momo, Chaayos, Chai Point, Boba Bhai, and Blue Tokai have introduced tailored offerings such as bottled coffee, frozen momos, and bubble tea in response to the surge in instant delivery services. Executives from these chains have reported significant growth through this channel.
Chaayos, for instance, currently sells five to six stock-keeping units (SKUs) on quick commerce platforms and anticipates further expansion in this space. The company’s portfolio is witnessing high double-digit growth in sales on these platforms. Additionally, during festive periods, Chaayos lists its gift packs on these marketplaces.
Blue Tokai, a New Delhi-based cafe chain, offers ready-to-drink bottled coffee beverages, alongside ground coffee and coffee beans on quick commerce platforms. Meanwhile, tea-focused chains such as Chaayos and Chai Point are retailing tea bags and boxes to meet customer demand.
Wow Momo has achieved monthly sales of Rs 5 crore from frozen momos on quick commerce channels, which currently account for 52% of its sales in this segment. The company has also introduced packaged cup noodles from its Wow China brand and plans to launch its Wow Kulfi brand to capture ice cream demand this summer season.
Boba Bhai, a QSR chain specializing in bubble tea and ice cream, expects 10% of its total sales to come from quick commerce platforms. Other brands like NIC and Grameen Kulfi have also transitioned from cloud kitchens to quick commerce to expand their reach.
The growing popularity of quick commerce is encouraging companies across multiple sectors, including food and beverages, home goods, and electronics, to enhance their presence on these platforms. Currently, Blinkit offers over 8,000 SKUs, while Zepto and Swiggy Instamart provide more than 6,000 and 5,000 SKUs, respectively.
