Rebel Foods enters Saudi aims to develop $100 million delivery business in 3 yrs

Rebel Foods, a home-grown food-tech company known for brands like Faasos and Behrouz Biryani, has announced its expansion into Saudi Arabia. In partnership with Dubai-headquartered KitchenPark and Kitch, founded by Saudi entrepreneur Fahad Al Hokair, Rebel Foods aims to establish a $100 million food delivery business in the country over the next three years.

The company has launched two cloud kitchens in Riyadh, specifically in Sulaymaniyah and Qurtoba, where they will offer their signature brands such as The Messy Burger, Oven Story Pizzas, Fricken’ Fried Chicken, and the 500 Calorie Project. Following this, Rebel Foods plans to introduce popular Indian and Chinese cuisine brands like Behrouz Biryani, Faasos, and Mandarin Oak to the Middle Eastern market.

Vishal Khithani, Rebel Foods CEO, of International Markets, expressed the significance of the Middle East market for the company and their commitment to investing in expanding their cloud kitchen network and strengthening their brands in the region. They aim to become India’s first food tech player to enter the Saudi Arabia market and anticipate building a $100 million food delivery business in the country within the next three years.

Rebel Foods already operates more than 45 brands across various countries, including India, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah), the United Kingdom, and now Saudi Arabia. Their expansion plans in Saudi Arabia involve adding over 60 internet restaurants in Riyadh, with further expansion to cities such as Jeddah, Dammam, and Khobar in the near future.
