Taco Bell Introduces Kellanova’s Giant Cheez-It in New Menu Offerings

In a tasty new partnership, Taco Bell is adding Kellanova’s beloved Cheez-It crackers to its menu with two innovative items: the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme and the Big Cheez-It Tostada. These new additions feature a unique twist—each Cheez-It is 16 times the size of its regular snacking counterpart. Starting this Thursday, these limited-time items will be available nationwide.

Taco Bell and Kellanova initially tested the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme and Big Cheez-It Tostada in 2022 at a single location in Irvine, California. The positive reception prompted the nationwide rollout.

“Cheez-It is more than just a snack; it’s a celebration of cheesy goodness, loved by fans who crave bold, exciting flavours,” said Jessica Waller, General Manager of Kellanova Away From Home. “Partnering with Taco Bell allows us to bring this cheesy passion to a whole new level.”

Taco Bell and Kellanova first joined forces in 2022 for a limited test run at a single Taco Bell location in Irvine, California. The successful trial has now paved the way for a broader launch.

The collaboration reflects a growing trend among food companies to create buzz through innovative partnerships. Taco Bell has a history of incorporating popular snacks into its menu, such as PepsiCo’s Doritos and Fritos. Similarly, Kellanova’s Cheez-It brand is expanding its footprint beyond the snack aisle. The Cheez-It brand, Kellanova’s second best-seller behind Pringles, generated $1.4 billion in net sales last year.

Kellanova, following its split from WK Kellogg Co., is focusing on expanding its snack offerings. The company recently opened a Cheez-It Diner in New York, showcasing a variety of Cheez-It-inspired dishes such as a Deluxe Cheez-It Milkshake and Big Grilled Cheez.

Cara Tragseiler, Senior Brand Director at Kellanova, emphasized the importance of unique culinary collaborations. “There’s a significant demand for innovative and exciting food formats, and these new Taco Bell items help position Cheez-It as a versatile option in the foodservice industry,” she told Nation’s Restaurant News.
