Pizza Hut, part of US-based Yum! Brands, has announced the appointment of Rohan Pewekar as Managing Director for the Indian subcontinent. Pewekar will oversee the brand’s operations across India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.
An alumnus of IIM Calcutta and The Wharton School, Pewekar previously served as Chief Strategy and Finance Officer at Pizza Hut. In his new role, he aims to drive expansion and innovation in the region, capitalizing on Pizza Hut’s growing presence in India, which now boasts nearly 900 restaurants across 200+ cities.

We are not only focused on expansion but also reinventing the customer experience through bold partnerships, industry-first products, and innovative marketing aimed at connecting with the next generation,” Pewekar said in a statement.
Pewekar’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to further strengthen Pizza Hut’s position in the rapidly evolving foodservice sector in the Indian subcontinent.
