Zippee secures $1.6 million in funding for Haldiram and other contributors

Zippee, a same-day delivery platform, has successfully raised $1.6 million in its seed extension funding round, as announced in a media release on Thursday. The funding comes from renowned consumer giant Haldiram and top angel investors in India. Notable new investors include the founders of unicorn companies like BharatPe, CRED, Lenskart, EaseMyTrip, and Bella Vita Organic, along with venture capital firms FounderBank Capital, PiperSerica, and Misfits Fund.

In a previous funding round, the Gurgaon-based startup raised $1.7 million from investors such as US-based logistics fund Riso Capital, South Asia Tech Partners, Archana Priyadarshini, and founders of prominent brands like Dr. Vaidya’s, The Moms Co., Beardo, Epigamia, NowFloats, and Rage Coffee, among others.

With its dark-store operations established in major metros, Zippee plans to utilize the recently raised capital to expand its same-day delivery services to 15 cities, enhance its hiring efforts, and strengthen its technology platform. The platform enables brands to connect their online stores to Zippee’s e-commerce fulfilment platform, enabling them to offer same-day deliveries through the company’s extensive dark store network across India.

Madhav Kasturia, the founder of Zippee, expressed excitement about the involvement of prominent names like Haldiram’s and other esteemed founders, stating, “We’re thrilled to have iconic companies like Haldiram’s and more of our country’s well-known founders express their confidence in our mission to democratize Amazon-grade logistics for 100,000 e-commerce brands by 2025.”
