Britannia has promoted Varun Berry to executive vice-chairman and managing director, and Rajneet Kohli has been named CEO. Kohli moves from food services company Jubilant FoodWorks, where he was president and chief business officer of Domino’s Pizza, and he will assume the new role with effect from September 26 and report to Berry.
“Rajneet’s experience of building high-performing businesses and profitable brands is strongly aligned to our vision of becoming a responsible global total food company,” Berry said in the statement.
Kohli had earlier worked with Coca-Cola and Asian Paints, before he joined Jubilant FoodWorks (JFL). Britannia, with a revenue of over Rs 14,000 crore, makes Good Day, Tiger, NutriChoice, and Marie Gold biscuits, besides dairy products such as cheese.
