Several people are unsure whether mangoes would still be available in the nation given the present season. Farmers have lamented the scarcity of high-quality fruit due to unusually warm February temperatures that were followed by March rains and hailstorms. The Maharashtra State Agricultural Board has made the decision to export Indian mangoes to Central Asian nations this season.
According to MSAMB general manager D.D. Shinde, promotional activities were organized with Indian embassies in these nations. Besides this, the US phytosanitary inspector’s arrival on April 10 was scheduled to signal the commencement of shipments to the nation.
Indian exporters sent 32,745 tons of fruit in the previous fiscal year. The majority of the fruit is sold to Central Asian nations, with the European Union and the United States occupying critical positions in the export basket.
