McDonald’s Expands Global Presence with Hyderabad Capability Centre

Hyderabad is set to host McDonald’s first Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India, strengthening the city’s position as a global corporate hub. The fast-food giant has leased a 2 lakh square foot facility at RMZ Nexity Tower 20, with operations expected to commence by mid-2025.

The Hyderabad GCC will be McDonald’s largest outside the United States, designed to accommodate around 2,000 employees. It will focus on business operations, technology, analytics, and artificial intelligence, enhancing the company’s global capabilities.

McDonald’s has officially registered “McDonald’s Capability Centre India Pvt Ltd” with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, signaling its long-term commitment to the region. The company is actively recruiting for key roles in cyber defence, infrastructure engineering, cloud operations, facilities management, and human resources.

Hyderabad has become a preferred destination for multinational corporations establishing GCCs. In 2024, the city recorded 12.5 million square feet of office space transactions, with GCCs accounting for 4.7 million square feet of this demand.

With over 37,000 locations in more than 100 countries, McDonald’s continues to expand its global footprint. The Hyderabad GCC marks a strategic move in leveraging local talent and technological advancements to drive operational efficiency worldwide.
