New Delhi: Swiggy has expanded its food delivery service to 100 railway stations across 20 states in India, in partnership with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the company announced on Friday.
The online food and grocery delivery platform plans to increase its reach in the coming months further, ensuring passengers have access to various meals during their train journeys.
“Train journeys are an integral part of India’s culture, and food plays a central role in that experience. Expanding Swiggy Food on Trains to 100 stations allows us to serve passengers with greater convenience and access to a diverse range of meals from across the country,” said Deepak Maloo, Vice President, Swiggy Food Marketplace.
Swiggy first partnered with IRCTC in March 2024 to deliver food on trains, catering to passengers’ demand for high-quality meals from popular restaurants. The company aims to continue its expansion, enhancing travel experiences with more food options and seamless delivery services.
